Weight, size, porosity characterization of pumices from Minoan Eruption in Santorini (Greece)

Descriptions
The dataset shows the characterization of a set of clasts from Santorini Island: pumices collected from two deposits: Minoan A and Minoan B (Druitt et al. 1999), two levels of the product emplaced by Minoan eruption of Santorini caldera, ca. 1650 B.C. Pumices were weighted, and then characterized in size using two techniques: one consisted in measuring manually (using a calliper) three orthogonal axis of the clasts. The other technique consisted in measuring volume from multiple shape analyses performed using a CAMSIZER® which is measuring length and width of each clast (only a subset was analysed through this technique). Other parameters were calculated from these measurements.
