Descriptions

These experiments indicate what happens if a push convoy ship collides with an inflatable weir. The experiment set-up has been done for location Grave in the Meuse, with scale 1:25. The model includes the effects of the bow angle ship, friction inflatable weir-ship, air pressure inside membrane and the water motions.By varying the mass and velocity of the ship, a relation can be described for the motions of the ship and weir and the side effects of the water.D is draught corresponding to a mass and v1, v2 v3 and v4 are the velocities in ascending order.
