Descriptions

We documented the microstructural and geochemical characteristics of partially dehydrated and deformed metaserpentinite rocks from Erro-Tobbio, Voltri Massif, Italy. A thin section was prepared from a hand specimen taken from Erro-Tobbio. The thin section contains a folded olivine vein surrounded by an antigorite serpentine matrix. During preparation the thin section was cut parallel to the shortening direction of the olivine vein. We characterized the vein mineral chemistry using using an electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA), and crystallographic orientation data was measured using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) mapping. In this repository, EPMA and EBSD data is provided in the Data folder. The data and results within this repository will be used to support an in-preparation manuscript. Scripts used to reproduce figures of this manuscript are provided with the associated figure subfolder in the Figures folder of the repository.
